Judicial Externships
The San Francisco Superior Court welcomes students from accredited law schools who choose to complement their law school coursework with judicial externships.
Spring, Summer, and Fall Externships
Law school credit may be earned for successful completion of spring and fall externships. Hiring typically takes place in November for spring externships, March for summer externships, and June for fall externships. There are no deadlines for applying or for hiring; extern hiring continues until all positions are filled. The requirements of individual law schools as well as judges’ chambers vary, so careful planning is advised.
